First Bumble Bee Award goes to the Hampton Inn and Suites of Grenada

Grenada, Miss. (August 6, 2010) – The Hampton Inn & Suites of Grenada was recently named the first recipient of the Bumble Bee Award given by the Grenada Community Foundation as part of its Harrambee Program. Harrambee, which literally means “all pull together” in Swahili, is a program created by the Grenada Community Foundation to recognize people in the community who excel in their dedication and commitment to community improvement.

100 Black Men of Grenada, Inc. to Receive Grenada Community Foundation Grant

Celebrate CGF’s first grant by making your contribution now!

Grenada, MS (February 17, 2010). The Grenada Community Foundation announced today that it has made its first community development grant, in recognition of the efforts of 100 Black Men of Grenada, Inc. and their work mentoring students in Grenada’s upper elementary and middle schools. Structured as a challenge grant to help the 100 Black Men organization raise further funds, the grant supports the planned trip for the students in the mentoring program to participate in the National Conference of 100 Black Men in Fort Lauderdale in June, 2010.
